What this site collects

The short version

• No accounts, no logins, no marketing emails.
• Aggregate analytics - page views, sections viewed, device, country - never tied to you.
• Heatmaps and session replays via Microsoft Clarity (cursor moves, clicks, scroll). Form fields are masked by default.
• The /api/chat Claude console keeps your IP only for daily rate limiting (20 messages / IP / day) and forgets it within 24 hours.
• Nothing is sold or shared with third parties beyond the analytics vendors below.

Vendors and what they receive

Google Analytics 4 (gtag)

Anonymous page-view counts and event names (e.g. section_view, cta_click), coarse country/device, referrer. IPs are anonymized at edge by Google before they hit the analytics dashboard.

Vercel Analytics + Speed Insights

First-party, cookieless. Records page paths, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and country at country level. No persistent identifier.

Microsoft Clarity

Heatmaps and session replays. Records cursor movement, clicks, and scrolling on kevingamez.co. All input fields, including the live console, are masked - I see that you typed, not what. Clarity sets a session cookie scoped to this domain.

Anthropic (Claude · /api/chat)

When you use the live console, your message and the conversation history of that session are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a reply. Your IP is hashed in memory at the Vercel edge for rate-limiting and discarded at the end of each day. Conversations are not stored on the server.

How to opt out

• Block analytics. Most browser tracker-blockers (uBlock Origin, Brave Shields, Privacy Badger, Safari ITP) already block Google Analytics, Vercel and Clarity by default. The site still works fully.
• Honor Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends DNT or GPC, plan is to skip Clarity loading. (Coming next; until then, use a blocker.)
• Don't use the console. If you don't type anything in /#console, nothing reaches Anthropic. Browsing the rest of the site doesn't trigger any LLM call.
• Ask for deletion. Email kevingamez.kg@gmail.com and I'll wipe what I can (heatmap recordings tied to a session ID, GA event log).

Cookies

• _ga, _ga_* - Google Analytics, ~1 year.
• _clck, _clsk - Microsoft Clarity, session + 1 year.

That's it. No third-party advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels.
